Filming of the long awaited adaptation of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s award winning novel Half of a Yellow Sun, a story that follows the divergent paths of glamorous, highly educated sisters who get swept up in the Nigerian Civil War as come to an end in Calabar, Nigeria.
The film stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Thandie Newton and Genevieve Nnaji and is the feature directorial debut of Nigerian theatre director, playwright and novelist Biyi Bandele, who adapted the screenplay. Andrea Calderwood (Last King of Scotland) is producing.
